Bombardier boosts commercial aircraft maintenance network by adding Authorized Service Facility in Russia

August 16, 2012 – Bombardier Aerospace announced today that Tulpar Technic has been appointed an Authorized Service Facility (ASF) for Bombardier CRJ100/200 regional jets as well as Challenger 850 business aircraft.

Located at Kazan International Airport in Kazan, Russia, Tulpar Technic will serve Bombardier operators in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Under an ASF agreement, Tulpar Technic is now authorized by Bombardier for all maintenance work on CRJ100/200 and Challenger 850 aircraft.

“Tulpar Technic is emerging as a leader in the region and will provide operators of aircraft manufactured by Bombardier with much-needed access to quality maintenance services,” said Eric Martel, President, Bombardier Customer Services & Specialized and Amphibious Aircraft. “The Russian market is extremely important to Bombardier and our team continues to accelerate the expansion of our international services offering, here and around the world.”

Tulpar Technic employs a full-time staff of 25 maintenance technicians and are further supported by an on-site cooperation agreement with Adria Airways Tehnika (AAT)—a long standing Bombardier CRJ Authorized Service Facility, based in Slovenia. Tulpar Technic’s facility includes a 4,608 square-metre (49,600 square-foot) maintenance hangar.

Tulpar Technic will join the ASF network that serves operators of business and commercial aircraft produced by Bombardier and spans 26 countries worldwide. In North America, Bombardier provides heavy maintenance for CRJ Series and Dash 8/Q-Series aircraft through its FAA Diamond-award winning network that includes locations in Bridgeport, West Virginia, Tucson, Arizona and Macon, Georgia.
